August 2011 - August 2015
TRAINING AS AN PROFESSIONAL EVENT TECHNICIAN/
EVENT TECHNICIAN
Prior to embarking on my training, I completed two terms of a course in software development. However, it soon became clear to me that I desired a profession that allowed me to exercise my creativity while also engaging with technology. My long-standing fascination with the theatrical stage and its enchanting ability to transport audiences to alternate realms, offering them a temporary respite from everyday life, firmly convinced me that this was the path I genuinely aspired to pursue.

I began my training as an event technician and instantly knew that I would pursue my passion for stage lighting after finishing my apprenticeship.
August 2016 - December 2018
LIGHT OPERATOR
Upon relocating to Berlin, I embarked on a career in the legendary club scene as a lighting operator, a journey spanning nearly three years. This offered a unique perspective, teaching me a facet of my profession beyond the realm of "conventional" theatre lighting. Throughout this period, I expanded my horizons to encompass the diverse realms of event and stage illumination. Subsequently, I have consistently endeavoured to integrate the wealth of experience gained during this chapter into my ongoing projects.
January 2019 - Present
LIGHT OPERATOR / LIGHTING DESIGNER
In late 2018, I began a role that would go on to be the most transformative experience of my professional life. Serving as one of the two primary light operators at one of the world's largest concert venues remains an accomplishment I hold dear to this day. This position has afforded me numerous opportunities to collaborate with inspiring individuals, further fuelling my creative pursuits. One of the standout moments in my career to date was the opportunity to design the lighting for the Berliner Philharmoniker, conducted by John Williams. It was a remarkable highlight that I will forever cherish.
September 2020 - Present
LIGHTING DESIGNER
In late 2020, I initiated contact with a theatre company that was in the final stages of preparation for a production of the musical "RENT." This engagement marked the beginning of my journey as an independent lighting designer within the musical theatre industry. Subsequently, I have designed and operated the lighting for several productions, including the German premiere of "I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change!" and Encore! Musicals Berlin’s production of "The Wedding Singer." While undertaking smaller alongside my main job, it became abundantly clear that the world of musical theatre holds a special place in my heart and remains my true passion.

In the last few years, I have extended my creative reach by providing lighting design services for various theatre groups in Berlin, particularly within the realm of musicals and plays. These projects have consistently held a special place in my heart and continue to be my absolute favourites.
